What we need list:

Car jack, jack stands, socket set, breaker bar, air tools, torque wrench, etc.

I would really like to start this as early as possible. I want to get this thing done so that other people will have time to have their install done.

right on, I can supply all the car-lifting equipment and air tools, along with torque wrench and 1/2 inch death-bar.

My big thing for the weekend is gonna be changing out the valve cover gaskets. Should be straightforward, hopefully. Also have to do other maintennance like oil change, coolant change, air filter, spark plugs, etc....

Cool, do think I could get you to come early to help me start pulling parts off my car? I think I found hubs off of NASIOC. Hopefully, I won't get screwd. We'll see.

yeah dude, I'll get some sleep the night before.
I think the biggest projects are gonna be yours and mine. I'm interested to see how the conversion works.

Maybe someone that has done the conversion before... but how do we deal with the valve proportioning. Sonic_yellow set me this link. It only refers from '93-'96 models though.

Does anyone have any experience?

it looks like its a part of the master cylinder. And we don't need to change it. According to that FAQ, our cars have the best master cylinder anyway, so you should be good to go.

Hey all. Here are the rough directions of the brake conversion.

http://wac.addr.com/auto/obs/disc/disc.html

Here a list of items needed for the conversion.

10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm, 21mm socket (ratchet) wrenches - I have up to 17mm
32mm hub socket wrench - don't have
14mm deep socket wrench - don't have
12" or longer breaker bar - don't have, I think mulcibre is bringing that
4" and 6" socket wrench extensions (optional) - don't have
10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm open-ended wrenches - have some
8mm, 10mm flare nut wrenches (for brake bleeding, hoses)
2-ton floor jack(s) or equivalent - mulcibre is bringing I think
2-ton jackstand(s) or equivalent - " "
Oil/fluid catch pan or suitable container - have
Speed bleeders (optional) - will get
Pliers (optional) - have
Small flat-blade screwdriver (optional) - have
