Install Fest: February 18th, 2007

Hey all.

Just wanted to announce the next install fest. I a thinking Sunday, Feb. 18th, 2007. That's president's day weekend. For those of you guys that have never been to my install fest, I am located in Fremont. I have a two car garage and a drive way that can accommodate 2 or 3 more cars.

Install Fest
Sunday, Feb. 18th, 2007

So.... the way I do this is if you are interested in attending or helping out, put your name on the list. A few days before the actual meet, I send out the addy to everyone.

Yup. Let me know if this date works for everyone.

Also, Leo (StupidDents) is a regular at the install fest and has a variety of services that he can provide.

TIA.

I am hoping to do a rear drum to disc conversion at this install meet. I just got my hands on the rotors and calipers. All I need left are the hubs. Hopefully you guys can give me a hand with that.

Oh yeah. I'll get back to you on that. I have brakelines for the rears, but I might as well do the SS while it is off. I think I do need the line from the e-brake to the brakes though.

You might want to do some research and find out if the master cylinder and proportioning valve from your disc/drum set-up will work with 4-wheel discs.

I know that these parts are different between similar set-ups on Acuras.

Good point. I think I bookmarked a link. I'll make sure to ask Jon and Karl about it. They both had L's and they both did the conversion. They would probably know.

If I'm not busy I'll be there again, doubt I'll have anything to install but I'll lend a hand.

I want to leave plenty of time for me to do the conversion. Lots of steps. I am thinking about starting at 10:00. That'll give me time to go grab some donuts in the morning, so when you guys arrive, you don't have to start it off hungry.

I need to change the valve cover gaskets and switch to full synthetic. New air filter and injectors would be good to. There was something weird about the dyno plot from GST and I think the engine may not survive until the swap.

I'll bring the same tools I did last time!

I have an oil pan and funnel thing. I am also coming up to my next oil change. Don't know if I'll have time to do it though. We'll see. One problem at a time right?

haha yeah, but I can change oil pretty fast, so if you can get the supplies we can do it in under 20 minutes.

Which disc brake are you converting to again?
