I am wondering if the headers off of a WRX or an STi will bolt up to a 2000 Legacy GT Limited (ej25). I've already got the turbo (from a WRX) so now i'm searching for the rest of parts. And if so should i buy these from a junkyard, try ebay, or from a performance vendor online?

Yes and no. This is realy old school mod, but basically it is not easy. First of all, your NA waterpump will not clear the header. So you need to buy and install waterpump and thermo housing from a WRX or 90-92 Turbo Legacy. After that, the manifold will fit. Then, however, the uppipe will hit the head in the back of it. The SOHC are wider, due to one cam, so the uppipe will hit that cam hump/tit on the back of the head. Even if that was not the case, then your turbo will hit the tranny a little bit and come too close to the thorttle body, which means it will need to be rotated a little bit, which is pain in the *** due to the internat gate setup. Even if you solve that, the intake manifolds are different, which means that the intake pipe will not clear the intake runners on the bottom and power steering pump. Then of course, there are AC lines which are in the way of the turbo/downpipe. They need to be removed or swapped for WRX one. Even after all that, you still got more issues. Like the ECU and injectors since you don't really have any real options. And, in case your car is AT, it becomes even harder.

Let me see if I can dig up my old pics. I have attempted that on my 99 2.5RS back in like 2000, so I went through all of that. I got mad, sold the car and got the WRX, haha.
