i'm looking at getting an unorthodox underdrive pulley or maybe an aem, but i'm concerned about doing it because i have 2 10's w/a 200w alpine amp in the trunk and i know that an underdrive pulley will decrease the charge to the alternator or whatever... has anyone done this who has a system and have they had any trouble with it? do you have power flickers or whatnot?

2. Check vendor forum or ask Z1 performance. Price is close to an underdrive pulley.
3. Almost the same as it's underdiven counterpart.

Unorthodox is 15% underdrived and it will cause you problems at idle (low voltage).
I have for sale 5% (ultralight) underdrived that doesn't have the idle problem.
Take a look at:

There are also several Q&A.
$114.50 (shipping/insurance included)

I have the Unorthodox pulley. I just blip the throttle occasionally if I'm sitting too long with all of the accessories on.
An interesting side note, every time I open the hood, the pulley is sitting in the exact same orientation. I'm sure it has something to do with the Boxer design. Well, I thought it was interesting.
[Edit] I guess I should point out that I'm talking about when the engine is off! The pulley DOES turn with the crank.

I've always wanted a lightened pulley set for my 2001 outback, but not a smaller set. I want to keep the exact same belts but want to save some rotational mass...
I remember a couple years ago when i used to post here, someone said you could get the set through cobb or somewhere like that...
