New to Subaru, looking for info.
Hi All. New guy here. I'm getting ready to acquire a 1991 Subaru legacy wagon with a seized motor. The guy wants to charge me 300 bux for the car and motor together. 1st question, the car is in very good shape on the outside, and interior, but the motor is not in the car. would I benefit more from a rebuild or, just get a new motor. It's an auto, and I don't want to convert to manual.
2nd question, Can anyone tell me about this particular model, I'm not real sure on trim package, but I think it's the ej22 motor. And last question I'm looking for exterior accesories and other goodies. I know I'm gonna get flamed, but I want the whole show package. body kit, semi modest wing, and that kind of stuff. Moderate bling factor you know? Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, the only body kits for these wagons come from japan or australia/new zealand. http://www.aerotech.co.nz/Makes_Menu/Subaru/subaru.html Has stuff, but no pics of them...

Good luck finding a body kit! They're about as impossible to find as it goes. You should definitely look for a 2.5L if there's no motor in it. Then you'd have a little more power than the 2.2 that was previously in the car. Wheels are fairly easy to find. I'm running WRX wheels that I picked up fairly cheap with RE92's on 'em. I think they only had ~4K miles on them. Good luck.

The 2.0 from the WRX fits in these cars, and the other engine available for the Impreza is the 2.5. Therefore, the 2.5 should be able to fit. Deductive reasoning is fun =)
