I could imagine the auto has slightly different stock maps as well, it seems to be that people with stuttering have manuals.

edit - oh, and any accessport-like functionality in development?
We've found the problem with the factoy ECU mapping. It's a combination of throttle-by-wire calibration and closed/open loop switchover parameters that creates all those odd hesitations at lower rpm and at partial throttle. In fact, it's the partial throttle performance of the reflash which stands out above all else

Shiv, when will the XEDE be avail for the 2005 GT? The reflash is great but I would prefer something I could remove. I have no interest in tinkering with the tuning myself. I like the set it and forget it of the reflash but would like it to be removable. BTW, I posted these results in a thread at legacygt.com. Hopefully you'll post there too.

Shiv, does your reflash have map switching (really, really fun mode and dealer mode)?

Does anyone have any idea at what rpm point the the stock program goes into open loop under light throttle? The only reason I'm asking is that mileage seems to drop dramatically when you average much over 70 mph, which is around 3000 rpms. 3000 rpm seems to be a pretty low switchover point for a modern car.

Shiv,
So what's up for the 2005 Legacy GT? Were your reflash results for EcuTek or your Xflash? Any Xede units being made for the legacy?

Hiya-- Sorry for the delay in posting back. To kill the hesitiation issue, we revamped the open/closed loop fuel control parameters for max performance/driveabilty. The factory ECU mapping is castrated for complying with EPA regulations. The downside is miserable power response and engine roughness at partial throttle and low rpm.

Cheers,
shiv
