Check the part number of your filter and see if it matches filters from older subarus. If there's a match anywhere...then you'll know which K&N to get.

From: Are you too one of the few still living the past? Well I can change that! With a simple wicket. Yes, my friend, a wicket. PM for details.
Car Info: No car right now....sob.
I'd stay away from K&N.....they use Oiled filters....I don't know about Legacy's, but they can cause some damage on STis.

if they are over oiled they can mess with your MAF Sensor. Several members use the K&N filter without problem. I doubt you will see any gain from it.

To add to what itwrx is saying, the stock intake on the WRX and WRX STI, and i'm assuming the LGT, are more than adequate for large amounts of horsepower. No one has been able to show any benefit over a stock box and filter. Incidentally, Cobb is releasing one for the Impreza simply due to demand, not because it actually does anything. They're going to build one that doesn't detract from performance, but satisfies the consumer's desire.

A friend in Cheyenne just got an 04 JBP sedan. They told her the same thing at the dealer. I have never heard of this before. Is there a TSB on it? I put a K&N panel in our 02 Wagon.

An 02 will have a MAP sensor only, so you don't need to be worried about it.
