Question HELP car won't start!

I have a friends 96 2.5GT wagon in my driveway. The radiator cracked and it overheated. She took it to get fixed and they wanted way to much to fix it so my brothers and i thought we'd have a go. The shop said in addition to the radiator the ignition coil was fried and one of the spark plug wires melted. We replaced the radiator, wires, plugs and coil and it didn't start until we tried to jump it. It ran fine after the jump until we stopped it. We put in a new battery and now we can get it to start even with a jump. it just cranks. Not really sure where to go from here been messing with it for two days now and nothing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Are you SURE the car is getting spark? Did you replace the parts with new or used?

Replaced everything with new stuff. Just had it picked up a couple of days ago. Garage said the head gasket cracked so we weren't getting compression.
