Engine hesitation when turning right

Engine hesitation when turning right
I have a problem with the engine cutting out when I turn right on level ground at parking lot speeds, any ideals? 1995 Legacy L Wgn.
Let me preface this with:
1- Checked out the fuel pickup points at both fuel tanks, clean and clear.
2- Fuel gauge reads low/ empty after 1/2 tank, cleaned rheostat, slightly better, but not accurate.
3- Could it be the rollover switch, where is its location and how to check it.
Thanks ahead of time, sosube

May be it is the fuel pump. Now I am still very new to the whole Subaru thing so I am probably not right. Just it just up and die or does it hesitate? Does it still stall out if you give it gas when you turn? Do you feel any loss of power steering? I work at a dodge dealership so at least I can talk to mechanics for you.
