Wow, it has been a while since I have posted here. I had a 00' RS that I loved but was forced to sell about 1 1/2 years ago.

I am driving a 92 legacy with about 88k on it right now. It has the 2.2 NA motor in it. About a month and a half ago the CE light came on. A little after that it started to stall when I first started it up in the mornings or when the motor was cold. After I am able to get it idleing if I tuch the gas pedal it will stall again, but once the motor is warm or I get it moving it will idle an run fine. It will start and run all day as long as it is warm. NE1 have any experiance with this problem. I am not sure if the 92 has an ODBII plug on it or not, I was unable to locate it myself.

I have a wagon that does the same thing but it is a 90. Anyone know? Please.

 

Sorry to say I don't know the problem is and that it doesn't have OBD II. One second thought check the idle air control. Mine was having trouble with this about a month ago.

 

sounds like Crancshaft positioning sensor... but im not sure.

 

Well i got a crankshaft position sensor from my bud for free and threw it in. Seems to have fixed the prob. But we will see. Thanks for all the input guys the link for clearing codes is great.

 

That cool you got your car fixed. How hard was the repair? On a scail of 1-10 1 being an oil change 10 being a transmition overhaul. Any special tools? How much for the part?

 

I got it fixed. Pulled the sensor out and it was covered in carbon. Cleaned it off put it back in and the car started fine. Saved me a few bucks. Thanks for your help.
