Legacy Brothers and Sisters,
A word of warning on Vendor www.sigmaautomotive.com.
Today I placed an order for a grounding block(best I've seen at $30) and some connectors to do a multipoint grounding project on my Wagon. I skipped the $3/foot wire(eek!) to the tune of about $170 for everything with 25' of their wire and received confirmation of my $70 order & $10+ shipping and warning of 4-5 week delay shipping from Japan. Cool.
Approx 3 hours later I get an e-mail from "edward" informing me that "they" have decided to forego "carrying" piece-parts and would be glad to apply my order dollars toward a "kit" premeasured, yada, yada, yada, "tell us your application, etc" , or cancel my order. So I asked why they would be so unprofessional as to cancel a "confirmed" order after the fact, and if they insisted on doing so I'd be doing no further business with them, requesting written confirmation of my CC being credited. Reply included thanks for my "understanding" and the requested credit confirmation.
Now, I know this is "small potatoes" for many, but I for one consider carefully every $ spent on "mods" and was finally convinced this was a worthwhile expense, only to be "held up" for more $$$ if I wanted to follow through with it. Am I making a big deal over nothing? Is it too much to expect a vendor to follow through on delivery of an advertised product?

I don't see it as an issue, really.
You ordered something. They confirmed and then informed you that they cannot get the part you ordered. They gave you two options.
What is there to be waring other people about? They were quick to respond and they were flixible trying to resove the matter.
No time was lost. I wonder if they even charged your CC. You can just order a "premade" ground kit from any other vendor.
Just my .02 rubbles based on what you said.

Alex, At no point did he say they couldn't get the parts I ordered. He stated that they had "decided not to launch the EGS products listed.." If flexibility means "bait and switch" then I guess they were flexible.
My issue is: Since they had advertised the parts ordered, and confirmed the order after I agreed to wait the specified time period, I have a contract with them. This means they order and deliver the product as agreed, not hold me up for another product containing parts I do not wish to pay for in order to get the ones I want. If they no longer want to offer the piece-parts after the fact, fine. I believe this is what I said originally, and felt others might want to choose another vendor, as will I.

Glenn,
I'd have to agree with you on this one, seeing as how the order was confirmed, they should have shipe the order then no longer accept orders for parts and it sounded like they wouldn't fill it unless you decided to change your order to Their pre-made kit, instead of just "Most" of the parts that would be in the kit......which is what you wanted and ordered. The companies business practices need some work. I will say that they at least were responsive to your inquires, and also seemed to handle the cancelation quickly as well as the cc issue. I would be curious as to if in a few day's the part's you ordered were still listed on their web-site, cause if they are, it would definatly be a "bait and switch" issue.....

Thanks for your understanding Rotorflyr. In the subsequent e-mail to me regarding crediting my CC he said they would 'X' out the items, but when I checked today all of the aforementioned items were still shown available, and pop up in the shopping cart. Further reflection says just move on. Seems a sign of the times, and guess I am just an old fart that expects people to honor their word, whether they're hiding behind a web-site and software or not. I only wanted to warn others not to do business with them.
