New 03' GT
Just got my 03' GT the other day.
Love it...Love it...Love it. A wonderful car. My first Scoobie
Impressions:
Very solid feel.
Quiet.
Great fit & finish.
Handles great for its size.
Off-throttle lurche very noticeable with 5sp.
Should have immobilizer key like the wife's Nissan.
A turbo would be nice...I know 04", couldn't wait, I was car-less.
Some questions for Legacy Owners:
I'm interested in 17" wheels (similar width 205/45/17 or 215/45/17), mostly for the aesthetics. The local speed shop is having difficulties verifying wheels that would fit the Legacy. I'm interested in "mesh-style" wheels i.e. Konig Imagine or Volk, etc.. Konig says the Imagine wheel would not fit; Discount Tires say it's Okay....????
Anyone has 17" wheel on their Legacy??
Are the choices that limited???
Will 215 width produce inner fender rub?
Lastly, does installing aftermarket wheel affect the new warranty?
Thanks in advance.

You have to watch out and get the proper offset or you will have bearing problems eventually. Just because they will fit dosen't make them the proper wheels. Also remember they need to be hubcentric. This is why it's difficult to get the right wheels. Someone correct me but the offset should be 48-52 I think.
I put P7 - 17s on my RS that will fit the legacy.

Here are some nice wheels too:

I think it's a misconception that Toyota wheels are safe. The bolt pattern is right but the offset is not safe.

Thanks for all of your replies.
Peaty,
Sorry for the obvious questions; are the suspesion and wheel hubs the same for Legacys and Imprezas?
Also, what's hubcentric?
What do you all think of the Enkei RPM2? Will they fit? There was no offset value mentioned.

Hubcentric (sp?) is where there is a lip in the center of the hub that holds the wheel in the center so it sits on this lip and centers it nicely.

Dronnel 17X7 (45 Offset) Wheels with Falken Azenis 225-45-17 Tires
Suspension:
Whiteline ALK
Tein CS Coil overs on all 4 corners
Lowered 1.5" front and 1.25" rear
No Rubbing and frequently raced at all the local autocrosses.
Yes that's a JDM hood with a real intercooler beneath it. :-)

In a nutshell, as long as you don't go any less than 45 offset you'll be fine, even if your car is lowered.
