Need Hella Help

Alright just bought a 96 legacy rs (EJ20R TT) and after i brought it home i noticed the lower panel under the dash was loose so i found the screws and began putting it back on when i noticed some connectors were disconnected and some other random connectors but no where to connect them. I connected the ones tht had other connections, well as soon as i do that the engine starts running a little rough the check engine light comes on and flashes. I popped the hood and the second turbo on driver side, there was a brass colored drum next to the the turbo kind of under the air filter actuating as well as the one on the turbo which im assuming is the waste gate but not sure. im not completely car stupid im just new to turbo's as well as subbys but man do i love my car. So any help would be very much appreciated!

I would say undo what you have done, and find out what they are before doing anything else.

The drum looking thing is a wastegate.

Take some pics of the plugs, and find out if there is anything aftermarket etc.

It will be fairly hard to help without photos as the car and engine never made it to many other countries.

lol I didn't realize you were in japan, i spent 5 minutes confused as to where you got a twin turbo RHD legacy in the US

The green connectors are the test connectors, they should be DISCONNECTED for regular operation. the car will go into test mode when you connect them. This will make the check engine light flash and make the car do all sorts of funny stuff while it checks the fuel pump and whatever other stuff it does.

The two bigger connectors look kind of like the stock fog/cruise control plugs that go into the back of the switches in the dash. If that's not it then I don't know what they might be.

The blue wiring in the engine bay is just a grounding kit. Looks tacky but won't hurt performance.
