No, they have a newly revised Flat 6 w/ variable cam timing. The engine is pushing about 240hp in other countries. I'm sure it has revised internals for the higher hp output. The current H6 puts out 210hp. So lowering the compression should allow one to get some good boost pressure in there. Not sure whether deck is closed or not but they were reportedly testing a h6 turbo in Japan.

I feel that some people might be misunderstanding about "STi Legacy"
The only Legacy that was produced by STi was 1st generation Legacy RS-RA (BC) and Legacy S401(BE).
Again, the one in this thread is regular Legacy with aftermarket STi parts on it. Not much special about it.. of course it's awesome though.

yah but we can dream can't we? Subaru needs an STi Legacy for nice fat margins and fan-boy creamy pants goodness. Who wouldnt want a 320 hp Legacy STi for 35k? (much less than an M3).
