I got alot to learn
Hey guys/gals!!! I just purchased a 2001 Subaru Legacy L with the 2.5L OHC H4 engine.
I've done some searching on the net and haven't found a whole lot of info on my particular model car as far as performance stuff goes. I did find a CAI on EBAY that I won bidding on. I've seen some info on headers and cat back exhaust systems for 2.5 liter engines. However I'm more less wondering what are interchangible between cars.
For instance, when I had my old 5.0L V8 Cougar (Which I spent more money in fixing it's problems than any thing else) I would read about the stuff they did to a mustang online or in a mag and then do it to my car because mechanically it was the same.
I'm more less wanting to gain all the information I can so I can work on my Subaru and make it a little beefier and most of all, I want to make it handle like a pure breed road racer.
Obviously I'm in the dark here guys with the exception of some few lights I've seen at the end of the tunnel I have no I dea where to get ideas for my car. I love the looks of it and I dont want to do a body kit. However Since it has caps I must put some rims on it and so good brakes and suspension while I'm at it. Also a turbo isnt in it's future but I would like to dive into some engine mods, bolt-ons and internal.

Unless you go with FI there really isn't a whole lot you can do speed wise but for the most part most 90+ Subaru stuff will interchange pretty easy.
