Few Q's on 91-94 legacy turbos
A year or two ago i saw a 92 legacy turbo with an aftermarket BOV and boost controller, and i was talking to him about how it was his perfect winter beater, and now i want one for the winter if i cant make enough cash for a 2.5 RS. I drive a turbo'd civic hatch but it is by no means a winter driver at all, as it doesnt get traction anywhere in ideal conditions. But I cannot find this car anywhere, and i was wondering if one of you guys could give me some specs, (Weight, boost, power, upgradeability, and tips on what to look out for) on this car as well as prices i should expect to pay.
Lately i have often thought of selling my hatches and buying an STi but the insurance would be quite a lot for me to handle being 17. My dad hopes to purchase the new lagacy as he has owned a 98 GT, and currently owns a 00 GT.
Thanks a lot for the help guys, i really appreciate it.

Visit my site, and especially the BBS. The BBS is dedicated to the first gen Legacy models, which include the Turbos:

Yes, LegacyCentral is a great place to go.
Let me think if I can help you out with a few things though. Weight, don't know about weight, but I'd guess somewhere between 2700lbs and 2900lbs. I believe that the Legacy Turbos here don't have an intercooler, so they only run about ~6psi of boost. My friend slapped an Audi air-air intercooler (and a 16g turbo), and runs around 13psi for daily driving, but the motor can take more if needed. The motor has a very strong bottom end, so the car is fairly upgradable, powerwise. The Audi intercooler is causing some minor problems, so it's probably going to be replaced by a subaru slant mount (I think from the version 2 or version 3 STi).
The cars are rare though, so it'll be tough to find one. It'll take luck and patience to find one, because almost everyone who has one knows how cool that car is
And don't forget to visit LegacyCentral.

psssssssssssst
Audi != Saab.
Other than that, nkoan's spot on, and I'm a pedantic bahstid.
FWIW, the car Nick's referring to runs a 16g, a saab topmount, and 10 psi, and it makes as much hp and more torque than a stock WRX on a Mustang Dyno.
10 PSI.
