95 Legacy Lsi

Hello , I was looking to buy a used Outback but all the Headgasket problems on the 2.5 engine made me not want one . I found a really nice Legacy 1995 LSi with 101,000 on the clock super clean . My question is do the 2.2 liter engines have the same headgasket problems as the 2.5 ? Are there any issues with the 2.2 I should look for ? Thanks .......Rich

The 2.2 motor requires slightly more frequent maintenance, but is generally that to be more or less bullet-proof.

we have a 95 legacy lsi with the 2.2L. It has 125000 miles and has been a great car. My wife drives pretty slow so its been babied... So far its only needed a p/s pump gasket (2 times to fix a slow leak), one new cv joint, and a new knock sensor. Other than thats its just been reg. maintainence which it done like clockwork. IT doesn't leak a drop and drives great. email me if you have any questions. Tim
