Installed driveshaft. Auto trans is hosed - which I expected. Will 4WD transmissions from other Subaru models work, or do I need to find one specific to the Legacy model? I will start calling around on Monday.

To make sure about compatibility, get a trans from a 90-94 Legacy, the later years the better. The Impreza from 93-96 might work, but they became more electronically controlled in the 95-96 years and later.

I swapped in a 5MT on my old 93, that fixed it good.
