damn this thing is the hardest component to place. It started out in the single din pocket under my stereo but got the boot from there cause I moved the gauge and wanted that spot for my mp3 player again. Then I got that yellow plastic 3M "velcro" and stuck the control unit right in front of the OBDII port. That worked for a while until the adhesive dried up and then the wires kept falling across the pedals (no bueno). Finally, since the velcro stuff is still on the control unit, I stuck it to the side carpeting below the plastic siding of the center console. I'll take pictures later.

but where does everone else put theres? and how did you route the wires?

 

Mine is in the center floor console - inside the rear compartment. Ran wires from dash to control unit inside the center console. Drilled a small hole to pass the cables through. Used 3M interlocking tape (like used on IPASS/EZPASS) bought at Radio Shack to hold the control up on the side of the compartment. I can still fit most of my CDs in the rest of the leftover space too.

Looks clean, I get alot of compliments.

I was debating doing that, but I used the power from the clock so the wires arent long enough. What did you use for power?

 

I added the link to my install on the AMS forum...there are some pics there as well. For power circuits I used the Subaru jumper harness that comes with the three gauge pack. I ordered the jumper harness separate online. Power, ground, and illumination circuits come from the radio.
