Home Depot can do it, that's where I had mine done and I know some others that had theirs cut at HD also. Just be sure they have the new style machine, some of the locations still have the old lathe-type one.
It didn't even cost me anything, the guy was really cool and refused to take my money.

does the STi fit rs?

my friend got a couple of those STi keys for his rs because they claimed it would fit all subaru cars, but they're like 1/3 thicker than the stock keys. does anyone know about this or has anyone had them worked on to fit the rs? thanks!

I believe the situation with the GC cars and the STi key is that it can be made to work in the ignition with some filing but it won't work in the doors or trunk. I don't have first-hand knowledge of this so don't take my word as the final answer.

yeah, if you use STi key on GC8, file it down to make it thinner.
It doesn't take that long to file it down.

I did that and works fine on all the key holes

Some hardwhere store (OSH near my place) has more sophisticated machine and can't cut it for GC, I recomemd you to go hardwhere store who has older simpler machine or locksmith.
