Unhappy Urgent help needed... seats, seat belt latch and anchor

Ok, let's get this over with - I have been a victim of my own stupidity when it comes to auto parts, and ordering seats without every single little detail...

Fact: 2000 RS coupe comes with a seat belt anchor that actually looks like an anchor (like arrow pointing down when mounted), and the seat belt latch hole is smaller than the 02-04 Impreza. The JDM V8 seats used a latch hole that is longer, and a straight anchor.

Since the anchor is not compatible, I can't swap my old anchor onto the seats. I can't break open the old latch because the screws are unique. And obviously I don't want to hack the anchor with a saw to make it fit

So here's the request:
1) For those who have V7-8 seats in a MY00 RS coupe, how did you get around the seat belt problem?
2) For those who have other Subarus, is your seat belt latch hole square? (That's what the MY00 RS seat belt latch hole looked like) If so, see if you can feel the bottom of the anchor and tell me if it's straight at the bottom (meaning not shaped like a ship anchor with 2 wings)
3) For the dealers that work with parts - I basically need a MY00 front seat belt latch with the MY04 anchor. Does such a thing exists in the Subaru parts catalog?
4) For those who have aftermarket seats - is there an aftermarket seat belt anchor and latch that will work the MY00 and it's not anchor-shaped?

In the meantime, I will go on a furious search for that pic of the V7 seat in a GC body...

Thanks

Unhappy

Well, Forester doesn't work - same anchor and same buckle. Now how hard would it be to swap the whole front seat belt to the MY02 one?

im confused.

are you talking aboug the part the clips into the buckle? Or the buckle it self

the part you pull over with the strap, lets call that the retractor, adn the part you clip that into is the buckle.

Use the buckle that was on your 00 seats on the ver7 seats.

Ok - terminology I use
the buckle - the little piece of metal that slides on the seat belt
the latch - the recepticle
the anchor - the metal holding the latch onto the seat

basically, to restate - the hole on buckle for the MY00 is shorter than the one on the MY02-04, which uses the same latch and anchor as one on the JDM V8 seats. End result is that seat belt won't click into the latch. I either find an anchor & latch assembly that will take the MY00 buckle, or replace the whole seat belt with the MY02-04 part as I don't think I can replace just the buckle.
