Trunk swapping questions - lock assemblies?
Hi all. I am in the middle of a trunk trade with someone, and we're trying to figure out exactly what will need to be done to complete this. Obviously, my key won't work in his trunk and mine won't work in his. Therefore, we'll have to swap the keyholes (at least), correct? I took a look at the back of the key assembly (took that emergency release handle off to see it) and saw that there was a black clip that looked like it was holding it on. I have done some searching and while there were no pictures, it seemed like this was the clip that needs to come off in order to get the key assembly out. Is there any "easy" way to go about it? Need any special tools? What else needs to be done in order to successfully swap trunks? (relating to the latch/lock/etc.... I know about the springs with a heavier trunk). I'll attach a few pictures that I took of the parts I'm concerned about. I took a look at the car's service manual but couldn't really find what I needed. Anyone with experience with this, please chime in! Thanks in advance

On picture #1.
Pop off the blue thingie that connects the lock mechanism to the latch mechanism. Just pull the blue thingie out.
Then pull off that black clip...just pull and wiggle...just like when you jag off.
That's it...not so hard.

For me, it took a lot of intense wiggling. Just keep at it, and finally it will come out. I used a lot of force at first, but I'm not sure that really helped. When I finally got it, it just slid right out. Strange!
