STI wing on 2004 WRX

Hello,

I have a 2004 WRX and was interesting in putting a STI wing on it. Does it use the same mounting holes? I have considered other wings, but figured a Subaru OEM one might be better. Will the STI wing fit? The trunk lid looks the same. If people have some other suggestions for wings I'd be glad to hear them. Thanks.

i have an 05 wrx not an sti, but i do know that all of the trunks for all the wrxs +stis alike are the same. Im pretty sure that they dont use the same holes. The 05 STIs have something like 17 holes for the wing (dont quote me on that sounds like a lot to me).

It's been said many times: STi's have 6 more holes on the trunk than WRX's for mounting the rear wing (10 on the STi vs. 4 on the WRX if I recall correctly).
Hence, it's just easier to swap trunks. All Impreza trunks are the same, so swaps with older and newer models are no problem. Just make sure you exchange the locking mechanism and springs as well.

great so I have to buy a new trunk. Maybe it's just easier to buy a different wing. Although maybe I could find a trunk online.

You don't HAVE TO, you can try to find someone local that's interested in a trade. If not, you can take your car to the shop and have them punch a few more holes in.
