STi Shifter Trim

Anyone have instuctions on the best way to install the
STi Shifter Trim with the MOMO Shift boot? There were
directions on here before but I cannot seem to find them
now. I have everything apart and well, I'm jumping the
gun doing this myself. Any insight would be great!
The thing causing the most problem is actually the
MOMO Shift Boot which has ELASTIC on the bottom.
Should this actually be cut off??
Here are some pictures of what I'm dealing with.

nope
I already had that link, thanks anyway, the problem with that install pic is that I'm installing the STi-Trim plus the MOMO shift boot. The boot itself has an elastic bottom to it plus the piece that holds the boot in won't fit correctly because of the elastic (making it so the bolts aren't long enough), so what I did so far was sand down the plastic piece that holds in the boot and now
I'm just wondering if I should cut the elastic off of the boot
to make an easier install?
any help would be appreaciated!
thanks

Looks nice. Was there anyway to cut the boot some more to bring the boot down some more? So there isn't as much leather surrounding the shifter...not to the point like the OEM boot where it sags and creates a pocket. I like the mashed up look of the boot, but wondering if there's anyway to get rid of some of the leather mashing sorta speak. And one last thing - is there any way to keep that momo metal collar that goes on the bottom of the **** with this boot? How is the boot attached to the **** - I'd like to keep that little metal momo collar piece if I were to go with the momo boot.

Yes, if you take a look at the picture of the boot on the bottom
side you can see that there is definately more room to work
with so you can bring the boot down alot more. I didn't think
there was going to be much leather left over so I played it
safe. I think I'll leave it that way though, i kind of like it and
really don't feel like unbolting it again, hehe.

Not really, the reason for this is because inside the boot is
a threaded piece of plastic in which the **** screws right
into the boot (right where the collar is supposed to screw
into). I tried it with and without and with the collar looked
ugly because you see the shifter inbetween the boot and the collar and if the boot ever sinks lower you see the shaft even more. I've yet to see anyone keep the collar on any of the
pics I've seen. Good luck, maybe they make a boot special
for that ****, I actually thought the boot was specifically
for that **** but obviously not.
Good luck!

my girl accidently ordered 2.
Any takers, let me know.
It comes with the tools and everything to install it.
I'll sell it for $75 including shipping to USA.
