anyone know where i can buy an STI scoop for my 04 wrx? i want one painted already in '04 colors.

same question part 2:

does the sti scoop make much of a difference regarding performance when installed on the WRX? (no other mods to date)

Not really, you'll get more air but probably not enough to make a noticible difference. I'm no turbo mechanica though.

gruppe-s has good prices...and yeah i am not sure that a bigger scoop will provide a significant difference, but more air to the top-mount cant hurt ne either

Mainly cosmetic. Be sure to retain the underhood plate and rubber seal that mates up to your WRX intercooler. It can be left off but it's important to the proper airflow through the intercooler when the vehicle is in motion. It also directs air over the turbo heat shield and away from the intercooler.
