this dude in sac area trying to sell me oem hood and trunk for my 07 wrx, but after asking around. its really all for looks. i LOVE the cf look, but ehh rather spend the 800$+ on performance parts. maybe when iam done with my engine, ill focus on cosmetics.

Plus there's the fact that a wet carbon fiber hood will actually increase the weight of your car versus the factory aluminum hood. Trunks on the other hand are worth replacing with an aluminum or cf version.
I would buy them if I were you and then just use the trunk. That trunk normally goes for like $520+ and I'm pretty sure you could sell the hood pretty quickly.
As long as the guy isn't a friend giving you a hookup deal, buy it, use half, and sell the other half.
