Unhappy STI OEM HID Help

Just wondering who makes these bulbs.. These are the factory bulbs that came with the Black Chrome STI HID lights that I got and one of them burt out

D2S-35W

I don't know who makes these.

I'd like to get the same one so that I can have the same color.

Thanks,

Jon

You can get these Bulbs from any dealer that offers OEM HID. Merc, BMW etc.

If $ is an issue you can get them off of ebay. Look for a reputable brand like Philips / Osram ; and don't get fooled into buying the 8000K or 10000K garbage.

What you are looking for are the D2S bulbs
NOT THE D2R bulbs that are in the stock STI HIDs.

D2S= Projector specific bulbs
D2R= Reflector Specific Blubs

I'd also check the wiring on your lights as well because these bulbs should last the lifetime of the car, unlike like Halogen bulbs they shouldn't "burn out"

-Good Luck!

yup... after I posted this I checked all the wiring and everything is working now... I didn't hard wire anything in everything is ENTIRELY PnP. I am aware that I need D2S bulbs and not D2R.

I will definately check with BMW or Merc's... Any idea on the cost?

that price is insane, can't you get any aftermarket bulbs from other HID's?

The hid's that i use with my LHD lights have bulbs which are easily bought from its manufacturer...
