sparco seat in STi, help needed
hello,
i'm getting worked trying to install these seats in my STi...
i've got milano seats, slider rails, height adjustable tabs, 500 adapter bar, and a chassis that uses the stock seat mounting points.
the problem is, if i follow the instructions shown on sparco's website
http://www.sparcousa.com/resourceFiles/19.pdf
and assemble the components from top to bottom:
1) seat
2) 500 adapter bar
3) slider rail
4) tabbed height bracket
5) chassis
6) floor
the pieces go together fine but the slider handle provided is too narrow. i am not able to slide the seat back and forth to tighten up the bolts.
i called the guys that sold me the seat said to install it in this order:
1)seat
2)slider rail
3)500 adapter bar
4)tabbed/height bracket
5)chassis
6)floor
however, the bottom side of the height bracket is countersunk for a countersunk allen bolt to go upwards. with the assembly order above, the adapter
bar's built in bolt drops into the countersunk hole of the height bracket. the bolt is too short to engage a washered nut. if i dont use a washer, the nut goes
into the countersunk hole, which doesnt seem secure.
can anyone give me some guidance?
thanks in advance!
