Exclamation Smaller carbon fiber STi wing...

Hi, just got a Silver/Silver STi earlier this month...I've been hoping the wing would grow on me but it hasn't. I've been in discussion with a manufacturer about making me a new top piece of the wing out of carbon fiber that would bolt to the stock mounting points on the STi wing. I've included a photochop of what I'm talking about. Would anyone else be interested in this? I'm thinking about getting a group buy together. I realize it would depend upon price and the quality of the product, which as of yet I am uncertain, but assuming that it was reasonably priced and well made...who would be interested?

Of course, the photochop is just a quick example of the idea. Here is a link of someone who modified their top wing. I think the finished product looks good and I'd like the carbon fiber wing to be along those lines.

i might be a big wing, but its functional. i've spoken to a couple of STi drivers who've said they've seen their wing rattle (produce down force) as they were driving 120+

but you can always go spoilerless or get an S202 wing, or get a stock one

one of the reason its that height in stock is.. the visibility.
If its lower, it'll obstruct the rear view.
I remember that the ver5 wing was higher than real WRC wing at the time because of that reason.

personally, I'm not a big fan of the one Subie posted, I'd like one in the same style as the original, only smaller. Currently a company in L.A. that I've been in contact with is ordering the parts necessary to make the mold and create a bunch of these shorter wings in carbon fiber. As I receive more info I'll post it here.

I'd have to see it in person to make a real judgement. Don't listen to me.
