in a nutshell-
dremel out a funky shape into both of your fenders using a template, and they'll pop right in. before you put them in extend some wires and you're good to go.
hard as hell to bring yourself to mutilating your perfectly good fenders, but it's oh-so worth it

I have a set you can buy from me for $10 with bulbs. I got these from the UK (not a factory part--see attached image) and paid too much for them. I decided instead to go with the crystal clear type instead and never actually installed these, so they are brand new.
They did not come with the bulb holder sockets to wire them up. After a little research I realized that the MY02-03 side marker lights use the same bulb holder socket as the fender side signal repeaters, so I went to the dealer and ordered a set (Subaru part #84931AA130). After that I was able to wire them through the fenders and directly to the front turn signals in the headlights. They work great!
If you are local in the San Jose Bay Area you can pick them up or I can ship them to you for $3.85 Priority Mail USPS.
Let me know...
Thanks!
Rob
