Seats showing wear

Hi everyone,

here goes... I got my MY03 WRX in early February of this year and I noticed yesterday that the stitching in the drivers seat is starting to come loose. Has anyone else had this problem? If it gets really bad could this be covered under warranty? Any creative ideas of how to prevent it without putting some seat cover from autozone over it?

I really don't want my seats to fall apart. Please help.

do you like to wear cargo pants? the back pocket velcro(spell?) will do that. well in my case it was by backpocket. so i stoped wearing pants with velcros.

You may want to invest in some WET OKOLE seat covers before it gets too late. They are custom fit , you chose the colors , made out of neoprene and are OK with the side impact. They are not cheap but well worth it. They may also have the rear seat pattern as of now so you can match.
I see myself going this route soon , it's not because of the cargo pants , I think it's because of my cargo ***!
www.wetokole.com oughta get you there
DO NOT use any old seat covers as they will interfere with the SIABS and not let them protect you in an accident!

I had my clutch replaced under warranty today, and on my way out I showed the service manager my worn seat cushion. He told me not to worry, and he will go inside and order me a new seat cover (under warranty of course.)

Moral of the story, be kind and ask if the dealership can do anything for you, you won't get anything if you don't ask.

wow! Great help. Thanks everybody.

Three replies with three very good answers. I love i-club.

It definitely could be my velcro pockets, I'll have to check that out. I'll feel kinda dumb if that's the problem.
