I have an 02 wrx. The fabric on the butt part of my drivers seat is starting to pull up and fray in the center. The fraying is about an inch long. I have not abused my seats at all and the rest of the seats look perfect...is this damage at all covered by the warranty? I'm guessing no?

 

Had the same issue on my 02.. Took it back to the dealership and it got replaced..

This happened to me within 6 months of purchase..

PS do you keep your wallet in your back pocket? I think that is what damaged mine..

Take it to dealer then. Should be covered.

could be caused by maybe wearing kahki's (sp) w/ the pockets that have velcrow on them. I'm not sure if its that but i do have some pants w/ the velcrow and i found some blue/black on them from the seats, and my seats are also fraying.

you think maybe you could pay the difference for 04 wrx seats? cuz thatd be pretty cool.
