here is my car... i got my jdm side blinkers from japanparts.com... the ones i got are the REAL JDM AMBER ONES!

this is what the back of the blinker looks like..


i made a template out of think paper first that fit snug against the back of the blinker befor i even started cutting... then u used that to stencil it on the car... the jdm side blinker has no room for error if you cut to much its going to show and wiggle when you install it ... and you dont want that trust me!!

also when i cut out my fender i cut it out a hair smaller then the stencel and used a dremel to grind down the fender till the blinker fit nice and snug.....

Don't buy those cheap Apc Side markers too.. you will hit a bump and the lens will fall off .. Wings West makes a good one.

What iNfEk show is correct Bcuz those are the original Sti side markers the look everybody wants,(the reason for this thread,obvious)
Your side marker looks ordinary ,too bigger looks like a side corner and not a side marker.

this side marker is of toucan industries and looks nice recommended by a member of this forum
and if you want your side markers blink just use two very small bulbs and put inside the Side Marker nobody will note that.
I'm using two high bright LED's one clear and one amber and works fine but probably change to ordinary bulbs to get more bright.

PARANOID56 & iNfEk: has the clear ones that EJ20T wants, those as i understand are options for every wrx in Japan (not standard equipment)... and are the same as the ones i have except the lenses color .... now as for the ones you show on your car.... now those are just...... well .... not what iNfEk was asking about and i posted cause that’s sooo not the kind of hole you need to make for the jdm ones

i have done ALOT of JDM side blinkers for different cars and i can say the wrx is by far the most complicated cut pattern ive ever done.

 

No.I not mean this but yeah paranoid 56 have the real one the STi side marker the ones that iNfEk show installations that's the real thing mine are cheaper i know that.,but for the moment. Yours are so bigger never seen before and really,I personally,don't like it sorry.
I still have many chances cuz I still having a smaller hole so I can make a bigger hole for other or the original STi side marker.

Don't get me wrong here, but I had the sidemarkers on the car (GF) when new and I'd like to shave them off!

 

i still love my JDM lights :-) get them, and make that funky hole. its a real pita to make, but worth it.
