i was wondering if the 04 models have one cause i dont see mine even when the bar is on empty.

If it is a Inpreza?

The light will come on when there is 2gal to 4gal left in the tank.

this is a standard rule for Subaru.

i think atleast for the '02 it's 3.8 gallons left and doesn't turn off until it's filled to atleast 4.2?

It turns on at about 2 gallons left for me. I refilled right after my light came on one time and I put about 13+ gallons in.
