Low fuel indicator

I've been noticing the low fuel light turning on even though I have plenty of gas, does that mean the fuel pump needs to be replaced or maybe the filter?

sounds like the leveler/floater and or sensor is going bad.

See attached photo. The one pictured is from a GC but it has the same basic concept. I'd be willing to bet the sensor is just aging and second something could have possibly bent the rod which supports the floater. But unless you haven't been in there lately to accidentally damage the leveler I would go with the sensor being bad.

the contacts for the fuel pump and leveler are probably dirty from the crappy fuel we have here. take it out and clean the contacts. Since you're in there replace the fuel filter. The picture that Jess posted is what our fuel pump looks like. The black square is the leveler. The other end is where the contacts are. I had this same problem about a year back. Once cleaned the problem didn't come back.

JUST FYI, when you pop off the rear seats, you'll see tank possilbe locations for the Fuel Pump. IIRC, it'll be on the passengers side. You can tell since itll have the ovalish shape top cover versus the one on the right. The Right side top cover has a smaller dimenssion to it.
