Removing plastic "shield" at base of windshield

This plastic piece at the base of the windshield in my 02 WRX has faded to a ghostly grey thanks to AZ sun... I'd like to take it off and paint it, anyone done this? Obviously the two wiper arms have to come off, but what other clips or screws hold it on - I'd like to know where the hidden clips are, because I don't want to break one and end up on another parts hunt for a little plastic screw that somehow costs $24 to replace. Any tricks to taking this piece off?

Also, on the same topic, anyone know the part number for those plastic caps that cover the bolts on the wiper blade arms? I am missing BOTH of them
