Removing Dealer's Name
This question might be similar to the "removing badges" one. I bought my Impreza used, from a dealer who likes to slap his name on the back of every used car on the lot. What is the best way to take it off without leaving a mess? Would that Goo Gone stuff work? Thanks.
If it is a decal use a heat gun or a blow dryer and then use a plastic scraper very elegantly to take it off. Or just take it into any body shop and they will do it for you. Cheers

use blow dryer...heat guns are dangerous if you dont use it correctly...and use fishing line to remove emblems...and after use goo gone or any other sticky stuff remover...
I was very specific when I bought my '04 wagon. I told my salesman that I wanted no dealer decals. I was pleasantly surpsied when there was none of that grabage on my car.
Who wants that stuff on their car? I am surpised how many people don't care.

Let it sit in the sun and get warm. Do not use anything to scrape it off as it will scratch your paint.
If it is a normal vinyl sticker, just peel up part with your finger nail and then pullit all the way off. If it is warm enough, you shoudl not get any goop left from the sticker on your paint. If you do, use some goo gone, or even rubbing alcohol will work. Make sure to wax where you used the goo gone/alcohol when you are done.

Quick update: It was some sort of decal, but all the little letters were separate. I peeled them off with my thumbnail, and then used Turtle Wax bug and tar remover to get the adhesive off. You can faintly see the letters if you get real close at the right angle, but I figure a good wash and wax should take care of that.
