Rear View mirror MELTED!!??

So it was like insanely hot out in the parking lot of my work about 3 days ago. I didn't check the weather and i started at like 8 am, so i had no idea how how it was going to get and i didn't crack my windows.
When i get to my car at about 4pm i notice My Auto Dimming compass rear view mirror has been shifted and there is a weird warping circle in the middle of it. The next day it had spread and the whole mirror is completely blurry/foggy looking. Any way of fixing it or am i buying a new one?

It's shot. The fluid inside has leaked between the layers, and it can't be repaired.
The mirror is made by Donnelly and you can source them in the aftermarket with additional features such as outside temp and map lights.

you have a 03 correct?

I would suggest maybe bringing it up with the dealer since its an issue with the safety equpimnet. I do believe there is a longer warranty for specific equipment (like the air bags and seat belts).

cant hurt to call them

Sorry but that's really stretching things. The mirror is only covered under the standard 3/36 warranty, you're on your own. There's no special warranty on airbags or seatbelts either.
