Hooking up Steering wheel controls to after market deck??

Hi, i have a 2008 impreza and i recently bought an Eclipse AVN 2210 deck... it came with some wires to actually hook up the steering wheel controls, but ive been reading you need an actual converter... any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Most likely you'll need aftermarket component to program it. Wires are probably to hook up to extra component. I've done a few of those in the past.

Check out Metra's Axxess modules or Peripheral Electronics, Scosche maybe too for modules to get factory steering to aftermarket deck. But you also may have to wait a little if they haven't developed something yet for '08.

I wouldn't recommend Scosche, i don't think I have ever dealt with a bad Peripheral module, good way to go.
