ok so i finally drove one and no it doesnt fold down, but it looks easily removeable. I am asking because i plan on buying an RS, packing it with everything i own and then driving down to texas. so anyway, is removing it/putting it back an easy, worthwhile process to do without damaging anything?

What year are you thinking of purchasing? That would be mor helpful.

I don't believe that it's difficult to remove the back seats, though you'll still be limited on space. You should look in to picking up an L wagon or OBS.
