ok so i got my led's from autolumination and i got the 194 wedge matrix bulbs.... they don't fit. the bulb is a different shape and doesn't fit into the thing.
the 74 bulbs seem pretty small also compared to the bulbs in my gauge cluster... i just didn't order the twist-on attachment for the bulbs, which i think i need?
anyone know anything about this?

So I read the entire sticky about the interior lighting, but I can't seem to find anywhere whether or not this method works on the 06MY WRX's. Anybody know for a fact yes or no?

How do those "Super Star" LED lights on superlumination.com work? Not like how do they operate, but do they really perform the way they're advertised?

I'd like to know about the 06's as well. I've heard that there is no green film on the gauges and this thread said there is no green film on the HVAC. Is it both?

I really want to do this soon, but I have a question. I know I need to get the plastic bases for the LEDs to fit my HVAC and gauges, but I don't know which ones to get. I have been looking on www.autolumination.com, but the site is very not user friendly. Anyone know which ones to use for the HVAC and instrument panel on a 2003 WRX?

no one replied to the post if the #74's need the attachment for the base?
also does anyone have pics of there before/after grinding the light?

I did exactly what you said to do for the hvac and used just 5 #74s for the gauges (fuel, heat, spedo, tach). The hvac was a MESS to do though because the 194's were way way way too big..

believe it or not these are the same 194 LEDs.. (the one on the left has the socket on). The left one i cut with a knife and dremmeled it down to fit into the HVAC. If you do this DON'T HIT THE RESISTORS OR WIRES INSIDE. Otherwise the LED won't work!

the 74's don't need any attachment for the base. but you'll have to cut or grind (i used a small pocket knife) to make the stock base from the car fit perfectly. The 74 bottom slightly flares out the top parts of the stock base so the led has to be trimmed.

i also posted a pic of what the 194 looks like after its been grinded..
