So about to aquire a 01 2.5RS and it's in great condition except that the sunroof needs some help with you open it. What happens is that you hit the up button and it just sticks.... so hitting the up/open button and pressing on the sunroof pops it up and then it will freely open up. Just the initial opening has trouble. Is this a weather stripping issue?Motor problem or Linkage? Hopefully someone knows whats up with the case of the sunroof gone screwy.

I have this issue occasionally on my 01 RS too. Once you give it a light push, it opens fine, and it closes fine. Anyone know how to fix this?

 

Ditto to the problem here>..... I guess the solution is just a little nudge?

 

Man no idea. I my car from the paint shop tomorrow or tuesday. Thinking about takin it apart and maybe give it a little lube.
