Planning to get HIDs but also want DRL...
Hi everyone,
I'm planning to get HIDs for my 2004 Impreza but I also want to have some sort of a Daytime Running Light because I believe it is required in Canada. Besides its good for safety.
Not dilemma is that Allan from HIDPLACE recommended against running the HIDs at half power as it might flicker.
My question is... is there any other way to have some sort of daytime running light? I don't currently have fogs installed but I am getting them. Does the fogs run as DRL from the factory or would I have to wire them?
Thanks.
Joe

The stock driving lights (fogs) on the 04s only turn on when you turn on the main lights. There are posts to bypass this so you can run the fogs independent of the main lights. Check scoobymods or here, I know I've seen write-ups on how to rewire them.
You could possibly look at running the high beams at low power as drls too unless you're putting HIDs in there too.
