So I got the dealer option floor mats in my '04 but the little loop and clippy thing on the floor aren't enough to keep it from moving around. Invariably after 2-3 days I have to peel it off and reposition in.
Soooo, has anyone thought of an ingenious way to keep these fastened? I've finally just zip tied the loop to the seat (ghetto!!) but want to see if anyone has had any better ideas.

I tried "heavy duty" velcro (velcro brand) that didn't work and just made a mess of the carpet with little lint ***** all over. My tie strap is working so far tho!
That's weird, in my 04 wrx, i didn't have any problem whatsoever with my floor mats shifting around. In fact, i was surprised at how well they did stick to the carpet.

some people have hooked the floor mat on to the plastic nub that it goes on to and then put a small plastic zip tie over it to keep the floor mat from coming off of the plastic nub.
If your talking about the heavy duty rubber ones I have the same problem.... they work their way up under the clutch and make it feel funny until i realize there is a mat partly in the way

My 93 and 94yr WRXs came with mats that have a metal eyelet punched in the corners (front mats only) and the eyelet hooks over a stud mounted to a bracket that is mounted to the front seat bolt. Not as pretty as a hidden velcro job, but it does keep the mat away from my clutch travel area.
