no front license plate?
no front license plate?
i've seen many people around my area not running a front plate. i personally like the look. if all i'm going to get is a fix it ticket then im not too worried.
whats the worst that can happen if you don't have your front license plate on?

i don't have mine on...
I like it with out the front plate as well the problem is that the 06 has a small square where it should come; it's not really noticible because I'm inside the car most of the time (unless I'm ghost riding my wip); I just put the plate under my seat; tell the cop I took it off cause a screw was lose and it just slide under my seat. If you weren't driving the car to hard then they can't ask you to pop the hood. Probable cause has to have a connection. If you aren't speeding or driving like your drunk and you are calm they can't really pull the DUI test out on you... right?

Probable cause is if the officer thinks you might have moddified any carb effecting equipment, not whether or not you were doing something wrong. They can pull you over just because they think you might be in violation of smog.
Probable cause is at the officer's discretion.

Ah... no front plate has so many advantages ~ it has outweighed the advantages for me for over 20 years.
Looks #1, radar cameras #2. photo intersections #3... some shoot the rear as well. But then, I have a polarized rear cover (old from Les Schwab ~ no longer available) making it 'un-readable' from anywhere but directly behind. Throw in a radar detector and heck, I do my '5mph over all day' and feel safe doing it :-)
PS: A city can NOT charge you a fine above the state limit for the fix-it ticket. If you read the fine print, that will be "if it is not corrected". If it says anything else, send it to the State Attorney General's office. It will stop REAL fast. Did this in Santa Barbara and Ventura (now this is no longer the practice in either county!).
Most of these tickets will be written while you are parked on public streets... CHP have better things to do ~ my .02 cents!
