Long time no see you guys
I attached a photo of my car today, and will change alot soon. It's autralian limited edition, same colour as the s202 in Japan,.
I changed the headlight to a italian made Orciari ones which the high and low beams are exactly the same as the one used on the WRC cars.
Here, my problem is that, my car is wrx(GDA), the original light is using H4 that the low and high beams are in one bulb, thus when the high beam is working, the low one isn't. After I changed the headlight, it became a problem. So do you know how to fix this problem?
In addition, for those who changed their headlights to other ones, like the STI, Morrete, you should have this problem too, so how did you fix that?

You need to buy new bulbs...
The stock bulbs were 9007 series I believe. When I installed my Sti headlights, I had to do some wiring. With some agony, we were able to wire it so when my highs come on, the lows stay on...and the fogs too...
I bet your lights will need a H1, H3, or H4 bulbs.

Hello Down Under-
I am pretty familiar with the wiring of the US GDA but I don't know if your version is identical or different. Are you sure about the H4s in the stock lights, as mentioned ours use 9007s. Both are dual-filament bulbs however so it doesn't matter that much.
I have Morettes and they are supplied with internal relays that allow the low beams to remain on with the high beams. Normally this would be an excess drain on the factory headlight circuit but the Morettes also incorporate a direct line to the battery positive to power the high beams so the dual-beam arrangement is safe.
What I suggest you can do is this-
Assuming your headlight wiring is similar to ours, it should be a common power, switched ground system. There is a switched ground for each of the low and high beams. If you disconnect the negative side of the low beam bulbs from this switched ground, and connect them directly to chassis ground or battery negative, the low beams will now remain on as long as the headlight switch is on regardless of low/high beam position. If you do this you should also disconnect the positive side of the high beam bulbs from the common positive, and connect them together and run them to the battery positive through a 10 or 15A fuse (a la Morette).
These modifications will give you the operation you want, as long as your factory headlight wiring is set up like ours.
