MY03 Seat keeps coming unbolted

Has anyone experienced problems with their seat coming unbolted from the rail? Ive had the car into the dealer a few times, they tighten it, and within a month or so the drivers seat is flopping around in the rails. Its incredibly annoying. I need to take it back to the dealer because its loose again. Im tempted to tell them to weld the bastard to the rail.

i haven't had any problem with my seats, but there are a couple of things you can try. the next time you take the car into the dealer to have the bolts tightened (or you can do it yourself) ask them to use threadlock on the bolts. if you do it yourself, head down to the hardware store and ask for loc-tite. it comes in several colors, green, blue and red. green is low strenght, blue is medium, and red is stronger than hell. coat the threads with it before you insert and tighten the bolts. you might also want to have the dealer check to make sure that the threads on the bolts and the tapped holes are in good condition and not stripped. if they are, make then replace all the brackets and bolts together.

I've been dealing with this problem also for many months. It's easy to tighten yourself, just slide the seat all the way forward, feel around under the part of the rail that slides out closest to the driver door and you'll find the head of a bolt. That's the one that likes to loosen, tighten it up with a 12mm socket head. Mine got so bad that even tightening it myself stopped working, so i took it to the dealer and they replaced the frame and slide assembly. I removed that same bolt, put a flat washer (stock has a locking washer and no flat, BAD IDEA) on it, cleaned of the oil, and put some blue loctite on it. hasn't come loose again yet.

Yah, its easy to get at. its right up front. I have no problem with tightening it, i just think its weird for the seat to be unbolting itself with only 15k on the clock.
