Looking to get Hitched (trailer hitch for MY04 WRX wagon)
I have a 2004 WRX Wagon and am interested in putting a trailer hitch on it. I checked with my Subaru dealer who indicated they could sell me a "complete kit" for $200 plus installation.
I went online to e-trailer and saw I could get the same "kit", purchased in pieces, for about $160 plus my own labor rates (I can be cheap )
I am curious to know if others have added Hitches to thier WRX's and what they use them for. My thoughts were for storage racks / bike rack / small utility trailer. I believe Subaru rates the cars to two up to 2000 lbs. Anyone tow that much? If you do, have you added any extra coolers (trans or oil?)
Also, anyone know how involved any wiring would be? I have no problem connecting a few bolts but am a bit phobic of electrical work.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
