Lighting advice needed

Allright well I have a 2004 WRX so I have those small projection fog lights, I was wondering if anyone knew what and where the wire is to make the fog lights independent on the fog light switch, aka so I can turn them on with or without the driving lights being on. I know i have to cut it and rewire it to something hot but i cant find it.

Also I was looking for HID's for my car, and I see that there is probally not going to be projection lights for the headlights, I see that JDM makes an HID kit for it but will they work without purchasing the new JDM headlight assemblys? If anyone can recommend lights for it please let me know.

The fog light mod is available on scoobymods although I don't know if it's different for the 04's and if so whether they have the '04 specific info there yet. If you're familiar with wiring and reading schematics you can go to the Subaru tech site and download the entire service manual for your car including the wiring section and figure the mod out yourself.
"JDM" isn't a manufacturer, it refers to "Japanese Domestic Market" OEM Subaru parts. You could buy the complete JDM HID lights but there isn't any reason to, the lights from the STi will fit and they are HID. This would be your best bet as the lighting pattern will be correct and aftermarket HID kits are becoming harder to come by due to the recent NHTSA action.
