For anybody who isn't familiar with the 2004 headlight, there are 4 elements: High and Low beam, and the two amber elements: one between the high and low beams and one on the outside corner of the assembly. I have noticed that the outside amber lamp does is simply a parking lamp and does not blink with the indicator. This means the blinkers in between the Highs and lows are the only turn signals on the front of the car. Is this legal? I thought that replacing the side markers on the 2002-2003 WRX with the carbon fiber inserts were illegal because they eliminated all side markers but the new one isn't any better. Any thoughts?

 

I think the 03 style is better. The 04's look more like a family sedan than a performance car. The salesman at the local Subaru stealership said the 04's look more "feminine"

Salesman always say alot of things but who really cares what they think or say.

Well, I got stopped by the cops this morning - I guess they thought it was suspicious seeing a brand new Subaru driving through the auto mall at 4 in the morning. Anyways I took the opportunity to ask him about the blinker and he thought it was very weird. He said it's legal, just not a good idea

I think the slanted lights make it look more aggresive
the round lights are quirky looking
but I think they could have left the big fogs on
